The rum that made light rum a category. Don Facundo Bacardí Massó filtered through charcoal and aged in oak to make a spirit clear enough to mix, which is why almost every classic rum cocktail assumes it. The same liquid is sold as Carta Blanca in Europe and as Superior in the United States.
