Rhum Clément

Homère Clément bought the Acajou estate at François in 1887 and built the distillery on the site of its sugar refinery in 1917; the rum took the family name in 1944, having been sold as Acajou before that. The old distillery is now an interpretation centre and the producer does not publish where its rum is distilled today. Six cellars hold more than twelve thousand barrels.
