The Absolut Company

Everything from one place: winter wheat from around four hundred farms in southern Skåne, water from the company's own wells, distilled continuously and bottled in and around Åhus. 1979 is the brand, launched at a trade fair in New Orleans; 1879 is the year Lars Olsson Smith brought continuous distillation to Sweden, and Absolut's own pages decline to call that a founding year. The same pages give the well depth four different ways — 575 feet, over 100 metres, up to 176 metres and over 140 metres — so no depth is carried here.
